How to apply

Putting the schema and llms.txt on your own site

Nothing is applied automatically - the audit and free check only generate the code. Every platform (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, a custom build) has a different way to add it, so treat the steps below as the general shape, not exact clicks for your specific site. 1. Schema markup (JSON-LD)

This is a block of code that goes inside your site's <head>, on every page (or at least the homepage and contact page).

WordPress:a header/footer plugin (e.g. “Insert Headers and Footers”) is the safest route, since it survives theme updates. Paste the code into the header field. Editing header.php directly works too, but a theme update can overwrite it.
Squarespace / Wix:both have a “Code Injection” or “Custom Code” setting under site-wide settings, specifically for the <head>.
Shopify: add it to theme.liquid, just before </head>.
Custom-built site:ask whoever maintains the site's templates to add it to the shared header include.

2. The llms.txt file

This is a plain text file that needs to be reachable at yoursite.com/llms.txt exactly - not a page inside your site, but a file at the root.

WordPress: upload the file to your site's root folder (usually public_html) via your host's File Manager or FTP. WordPress's own page editor cannot create a file at the root.
Squarespace / Wix / Shopify:these platforms generally don't allow uploading an arbitrary file to the root - this is the most common place people get stuck, and usually needs either a workaround specific to the platform or us to handle it.
Custom-built site / own hosting: place the file directly in the web root alongside your other top-level files.
